AANS Joint Sponsorship Guidelines
ONSITE REQUIREMENTS FOR YOUR CME ACTIVITY
- The second slide of each presentation should indicate the presenter’s disclosure.
- For last minute replacement speakers, you must get a disclosure from the replacement speaker. In addition, if that person has something to disclose, you must resolve any conflict of interest by completing the AANS Resolution of Conflict of Interest form. Lastly, the speaker must verbally disclose to the audience even if he/she has nothing to disclose. If the replacement speaker refuses to disclose, or if you cannot resolve the conflict of interest, then that person cannot be faculty.
- CME Attendance Verification Form
- Each participant must complete a CME Attendance Verification Form to receive CME credit. Ask participants to complete the verification forms and turn them in at the meeting registration desk at the end of your CME activity. They should then be forwarded to the AANS after your meeting.
- Distribute evaluation forms during the meeting. Ask participants to complete the evaluations and turn them in at your meeting registration desk at the end of your CME activity or if using an online evaluation, submit electronically to you immediately following your meeting.
- Companies providing commercial support must be acknowledged at your CME activity and in the program material that is distributed to the course participants during the CME activity.
- If there are exhibits at your CME activity, they must be in a separate meeting space from the CME activity. If they must be in the same room as the CME activity, then a curtain or air wall must separate them.
